Tony Austin, Lead Executive and owner of Austin Music Group (AMG) in Baltimore, signed local artist, Money (El Chopo) on Thursday, July 23, 2015.
Money (El Chopo) is a popular indie artist from Baltimore with a long list of credible cosigns from the area. Money has worked with Caddy Da Don, DBoi Da Dome (Juggin), Kwame Rose, Young Jade, Damond Blue, and many others.
EL Chopo and the Chop Gang Movement recently release the latest project, “Live from Da 4”, a mixtape featuring many of Baltimore’s hottest talents. Listen up after the jump:
Tony Austin is one of Baltimore’s most talked about music executives. He was a former A&R for Def Jam and then VP at Russell Simmons Music Group. Although Tony Austin has expressed an interest in becoming an artist himself, he is becoming increasingly popular for putting Baltimore talent on in this industry.
Austin Music Group currently home to some of Baltimore’s most celebrated Baltimore artist including Young Moose, Young Goldie, Yanna Maria, AYG, Rod Lee and now Money.
With all the attention on Baltimore City and the rise of various talents from Baltimore such as J. Oliver and King Los, now is Baltimore’s time. I don’t doubt that Money’s raw talent, under the direction of Tony Austin, Baltimore is further headed to the top of the Industry.
