Mr. Steal Your Girl, Trey Songz, is making a major mark in the industry. He recently released his newest EP, “Let me hold dat beat” shortly after the released of his fourth studio album, Passion Pain and Pleasure. The Grind doesn’t end there, Trey Songz just finished his 23-dates tour with the fabulous Monica and featuring Dondria. He is currently on tour with R&B sensation Usher Raymond and just celebrated his birthday.

I caught up with Trey during his OMG Tour to discuss his mixtape, BET Award, and love life.

On putting out the mixtape directly after his new album.
I don’t really sleep… Its a different creative energy for me. Im very much into the mixtapes. I’m known for putting them out between albums and the last two albums I haven’t’ been able to do that. I felt i The mixtape is just to reminder to let people know thats still what I do.

On winning Best Male R&B Artist at the BET Awards 2010.
Its amazing to be acknowledge by your peers. Especially, BET is the network that puts urban artist on before they get to a plateau of where I am right now, you reach a certain level of success. [BET] is the solid base of urban entertainment and to be acknowledge by them, as well as so many elite peers of mine and so many before me.

On current status of his career.
With every milestone there is more to be accomplish. Its just a check off. I take time to feel the moment and live within it for a second, and then its back to work.

On His 26th Birthday
Birthday was great. I had a party, went out to dinner, a lot of girls a lot of liquor. (laughs)

On relationship status
I don’t have a girlfriend. Im single.
