Bandhunta Izzy ( D1Ent/ Republic Records UMG) just dropped his debut album, “Code Blue”. Izzy gave fans a blue box of hard-hitting records produced by CM$, J Feddy, OG Parker, Chops, Nasa Beats, Ronny 808, Ready Rocc, Pyrex and Deko. Code Blue also includes features from Bandhunta Jugg, Young Crazy, Peewee Longway, Key Glock and YBG Sleezy.
The album opens up with a slapping beat produced by CM$, also a Baltimore Native. Bandhunta Izzy, set the tone for who he is, what he’s about and the music to follow in his intro.
“…Army guns we really got em’, so we can go to war with anybody.” – Bandhunta Izzy
If it’s war you want, the Bandhunta brothers can give it to you. Code Blue includes a rap duo from Izzy and his younger brother, Bandhunta Jugg. Jugg proves his lyrical ability in “Bacc and Forth”.
No trap album would be whole without acknowledging the baes in your life. Bandhunta Izzy puts the cards on the table for all the ladies sliding in his DM in his track called, “Geekin”.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more real, press play on “FoReal”, produced by Ready Rock featuring his labelmate from Virginia, Young Crazy. The Bandhunta front-runner tapped into his inner-savage for this record.
Izzy reminds fans of where he is from, Baltimore, Murdaland in “Murda Music” produced by Pyrex featuring Bandhunta Jugg and YBG Sleezy—one more before the outro.
“[Ninjas] know what the F**k is up, [Ninjas] know how the F**k I’m coming. I ain’t lettin’ up.” – Bandhunta Izzy
Overall the album is a head-banger, packed with bar-heavy records. I’m still undecided about the lead single, but I’m interested to know what fans think? What are your favorite tracks from Bandhunta Izzy’s album, Code Blue?
I had the pleasure of attending Bandhunta Izzy’s album release party last weekend. Here are some must-see photos from the event. All images were photographed by celebrity photographer Charlie Preacher.
